That would be my classical guitar. And to err on the side of caution I don’t still use it daily. In fact, I am letting a friend who is interested in learning guitar borrow it. It is a Yamaha classical guitar that was purchased for me as a gift some 15 years ago. If I remember correctly it was a little over 100 bucks. Yet I feel that it has gotten better with age. And I feel as though I will have it and play it for many years to come. I’ve owned many instruments, tools, and books over the years; and in my youth I would periodically sell all my belongings prepping for some grand adventure. Back then my adventures never had a return date; so it was more practical to travel light, as my home was wherever I lay my head. Even my first guitar (I believe also a Yamaha, but a steel string with no pick up) I gave away and last I heard it was somewhere in Africa. I may have some tools that are older but that classical guitar has remained in rotation for some years. I traveled widely with this guitar and I am lucky it hasn’t sustained any real damage. I can only hope it remains in good condition long enough for me to pass it along to someone who will enjoy it as much as I have.
