How important is spirituality in your life?

Spirituality is the most vital area of my life. I felt I really became spiritual in 2004 when I had a prophetic dream. This dream really began my questioning of what is spirit, what are its associations with religion, philosophy, and psychology? One thing I discovered is that it is easier to access spirit as a historical phenomena and much more difficult in the modern world. The three main branches are religious fundamentalism, uncertainty, and disbelief (there are variations, like people who practice spiritual disciplines and rites but take all the terms loosely). It is hard to define spirit and spirituality. For me I associate terms like intellect, nous, animating principle. noetic realm, genius, angle, archetype, daemon, Self, Holy Ghost, intelligences, and so on. I find it of a different order than “soul” even though these terms are often used as synonyms. As an aside, soul is more of an intermediate principle that moves and takes form, and spirit is an impersonal force. I titled this blurb foundational, as working with and on a spiritual reality is really an orienting of the whole life. Everything flows from the nature of my spiritual state. When I am “tuned in” and oriented correctly there is a syncing with the world at large, my mind, and my body. It will be experienced as an aligning. When I am spiritually estranged, life feels like the world is happening to me.
